i found a day old kitten in my backyard, it still has an umbilical cord! .. i brought it to bide a wee in wantagh, but they wouldnt take it since i am not a hempstead resident... they said they would probably just euthanize it since they dont have any nursing mothers today... i had to go to work so i left it at home... does any one know who i can call for a nursing mother???

i brought him to Island Trees Animal Hospital and the woman took him and said she would bottle feed him and he'll be okay hopefully.. i'll probably call in a couple of days to see how he's doing

Island Trees is a great vet and all te dr.'s there are wonderful. I've been taking all my animals there for years. I trsut them fully.
I hope the kitty is okay and finds a good home.
That was so nice of you to take the little kitty and save its life.

How is the little kitten doing? We have not annouced here yet but we just got a kitten on Sunday. FH brought my mom to the food store and they were giving kittens away for free. FH calls me to ask. I said it is up to you. He came home with a kitten and we fell in love with it. Her name is Echappe (which means to jump and or escape in Ballet). The name does fit her perfectly. She is orange which part of our wedding theme. She has so much energy. I wish I had some of that energy. When we get some photos I will share them with all of you. She is about 9 to 10 weeks old.

How is the kitten holding up ? If you have condensed milk, not sweetened, you can give it some with an eye dropper.
