HELP! PHOTOGRAPHER NEEDED

We thought 100% percent we would use Patken, as we loved our friends pictures. After going there last night and having a not so great experience we would like to explore other options. Can anyone suggest a place that is reasonable, but takes great pics????

If anyone is going to Patken, the advice I was given after the fact is speak to a photographer if possible-they put you at ease. We where not able to do that and the person we met with was very, very uncertain about everything we asked. She answered every question two different ways, and had no idea how much things she was trying to sell us cost. She also was telling us we only needed 30 pictures, however could not show us a book that had less than 45 pictures....and before we went I spoke to a friend who used them and started her package with 50 pics and ended up having to add 25 more!

Are you referring to Patken? If so, Yes. They do give you a finished album.

We absolutely loved our photographer Big John from ADA Studios!!! There is not one picture in all my proofs that I don't like!!! In fact, I am having such a difficult time picking pictures for my album!!!!

I hate just recommending who i am using because you and i could have different taste so i always try to be fair AND there ARE great photogs out there besides the guy i'm using LOL

So after looking at tons of pics on here and doing a bunch of research myself i really like the work of:

imagine studios (the work speaks for itself, they are truly amazing)
duet (saw their work on here, they are supposedly reasonable and the work looks great)
12th night (same as duet, saw on here-- looks good)
fine art (jimmy) this is who i am using, there is another bride on here who's pics are to die for, do a search for her review.

and when i went to my appt, i met with jimmy which is the way it should be and he guaranteed me that i would have him as my photog.

so those are my suggestions-- sorry about your bad experience with patken, they were a little 'different' for me with their style in picture taking, IMO, some of the pics they liked to take were not what i would be interested in having pictures of. but good luck with your search!!!

We met with at least six photographers and decided on Spelman Studios. As soon as we met with Christine we knew that we wanted her team with us on our wedding day.

Their photographs are amazing!

I went with 'Thomas Paul Photography'... his stuff is so beautiful & candid. Another I had checked out was Natasha Stazjak (i think that's how u spell it)...they are both vendors on here & both pretty reasonable. Fine Art also has all kinds of packages but you get less for ur money and thats why I opted out for them. My cousin is using Duet & has raves about them as well. Good Luck!

We went with the Wedding Center in Commack and had Fritz as our photog! He was the best, and we love our proofs. A few are in my album, under pro-pics.
