what stores did you go to to look at dresses in person and invitations in person?

Commack Wedding Ctr is one
a bit crazy on weekends though

For dresses:

RK bridal in Manhattan (318 West 39th)

Bridal Reflections at Carle Place (and they have a second location).

Macys

Saks (they have alot of Amsale if you are looking for that)

Kleinfeld's in Brooklyn

dresses: Lillette's in Baldwin, working with Christina, she's wonderful

invites: downstairs from our DJ, In the Mix, the woman's name is Paula and she has been great so far

I bought my dress at Lidia's Bridal.

I bought my invites through my uncle who is a printer.

Dresses: Macys, lynbrook bridal, salon of manhasset, bridal reflections, david's bridal..there are so many places.

Invitations--I got mine at proper paper in plainview & I love the woman that work there--couldn't be happier. If you want info FM. The first place I did look though was the Watermill's wedding coordinator but I foudn out that they are way overpriced.

Macy's in Manhattan - good selection - ok service - weekends are insane
Bridal Couture - Manhasset - more expensive - I did not care for their customer service
Wedding Salon of Manhasset- Fantastic!!!
Bridal atiller Marc Ingram - very nice customer service - great dresses - same stuff as Wedding Salon but a bit more expensive.
Wedding Salon of Manhattan - great selection -ok customer service
Iman - I like her but others have had problems
A random store in Forest Hills (Austin Street) - don't know the name. I went to see a W1 dress - poor selection - great service - wonderful prices
Online - the knot - great selection

Invites:
Lion in the Sun - Huntington - Fantastic!!!
Papieie - Huntington - ok - not as good a selection as Lion in the Sun
Katie's Paperie - good selection - staff unknowledgeable
Papyrus - Grand Central Station. Small selection. Great service. No discount.

i think weve narrowed down our search a bit but tomorrow i woudl like to see davids bridal for a bm dress and possibly macys bridal in manhasset
