would you have said 'FH has a white friend at work?' probably not.
This really struck me as odd.
I'm not sure, but I think she said that, because he doesn't speak english. I guess if he were German spaeaking, she might say 'FH has a German friend' I don't know. Thats just what I think, I could be wrong!

don't stress it. let your FH invite him - its this mans responsiblitly to get himself there and back (i wouldn't even worry) and as far as teeth and smells - it stinks (no pun intended) but this is not your guest its FH and obviously there is a reason he wants him there.
but - i would tell fh - if he starts making a fool of himself - he has to tell him to leave.
you never know - most drunks can be alot of fun....
