Help Please

Seeing that Christmas and New Years is on a Sunday what are most companies doing? Are they giving off the Friday before or the Monday after? TIA

My firm is giving the Monday for X-mas. For New Years we have a floating holiday that we can use whenever we want with our managers approval.

Give them Sunday off and thats it

In banking, they give you a floating hoilday if the day falls on a Sunday since Saturday hoildays are observed on Friday.

my company is generously closing down from Dec 23-Jan 2nd...

but if I didn't have that option, I would prefer the Monday that follows the holiday off.

Both Mondays are the recognized Federal Holidays...Dec 26th and Jan 2nd ...the market, banks, gov't offices, etc are closed.

The Monday after.

However, if LIW would like to let their employees off the Friday before AND the Monday after, I'm sure they'd love it!
