How do you think this dres would look at a junior BM dress? The woman says it has thick straps, but that's all she said. I wanted it for my almost 8yr old flower girl, but I wouldn't put a trumpet dress on her.The woman told me that it will be appropriate for her which makes me think that the cut isn't the same...how am I supposed to know? You can't see the dress online. I don't think think this style is appropriate for younger girls, but I don't want to assume the cut is different....thoughts??
I really don't care if the dress is the same style or anything, I just want the same designer for the color to match, and they don't make flower girl dresses.
I'm personally not a fan of this dress on a girl that young (LOVE the dress though). Mermaid cut is supposed to embrace curves of a woman - curves this girl doesn't have yet!

ITA! It is a style/cut for an older person (in my opinion, 16 and up).

I agree with you, but I'm wondering if the junior BM dress is actually the same cut or not. You can't see the junior BM dress online.
The woman at the store told me that it will be fine and it will be suitable, but how am I supposed to know what it looks like??!

I love this dress, but I think it's a little more mature looking.
Sometimes it's also hard to really see how the dress looks until you see it in person.

Can they order so that they have a sample in the store for you? If this is a Mackenzie Michaels dress, i know one of the other girls on here(audiolovestory) had a couple dresses sent to Paradise from MM's store because shes right in Ronkonkoma. they had them sent there and then i think they might have sent them back but i'm not sure. I dont see why they couldnt do the same for this. maybe reach out to mackenzie.

She needs to be a little more descriptive than tell you it has thick straps and that it will be fine.
I'm imagining this dress with just thick straps added which doesn't change the fitted nature of the dress.
Maybe ask her if the neckline is cut higher, if it's cut a little looser? etc?
edited for missing letters
edited again: Kedra made a good point, they can't order a sample for you?
Maybe go to davids bridal and have her try similar cuts on?

I personally don't think many things can change on this dress to make it appropriate for a 8 yr old...but that's just my opinion

It is a MM's dress. I will ask if they can have a sample dress sent!
I don't care if the dress is similar or not, I just want to stick with the same designer since I want the MOH and flower girl in the same Red color and I want to make sure the colors match.
Thanks Kedra!!!

Re: help please!
To me I don't think it will look great on an eight year old. Is there a way for you to look at the cut at a store for a juniors bridesmaid? Check some stores that carry the dress and see if they have a junior bridesmaid sample.

I don't think it is either, i'm hoping the dress is more like an a-line with rouching on it so they look similar, and I know it has straps.
