Help, please!!! Question about Maggie Sottero dress sizes

Hi girls,

I have an important question (important for my sanity) - what regular dress size does a Maggie Sottero dress size equal to? i.e., is a 12 in a Maggie a regular 6? 8?

I just tried on my new Maggie, and I had lost a lot of weight since I ordered it, and I think it's too big - I don't know what to do, whether I should try to buy a new one! I'm worried about altering it, since it has a corset...

Please help!

Wow I am totally different then you girls. I normally wear a 6 or an 8 and i ordered a 12...it fits great rather long but other then that not much needs to be done....who knows!!!???

That's weird...I'm a size 4 and my dress was in 4 as well and I didn't need any alterations...I think it's because it has the corset back that makes it easy to adjust and have a nice fit

she measured me and ordered me a 16

my pants/ jeans are a 12 and my tops are a large....

Maggie are about 2 sizes bigger then your regular size

I wore a 0 dress in regular dresses-My maggie should have been a 4-but was ordered in a 2 and was TOO small.

Right now, I'm wearing a size 10 jeans, but a small top. I normally wear an 8 or maybe a 6 in an a-line regular dress -- small waist, big butt and thighs. The Maggie sample I tried on was a 12 and was swimming on me. When I was measured, my top fell between an 8 and a 10. According to the size chart, my hips would have needed a size 14. Because my dress is A-line, my sales lady said that I don't even need to look at the hip measurement, just go by my waist and bust. Since I was between the 8 and 10 and planning to lose weight, we went with the 8. Now I better lose weight! Hope that helped.

I am a size 6 and My maggie sottero dress is an 8 & fits like a glove ! so like 1 size bigger

i wear a 4 or 6 but i have hips
my dress was an 8 but the corset back is THE BEST!!!

Thanks sooo much for all the help, girls!! I really appreciate it...

Yes, I think my dress is a size or two too big (now that I've lost weight) - even when they pull the corset completely shut at the back, it's still not fitted right - but I'm going to chill out and trust that when they alter it at my fittings, they can make it fit me.
