Help Please! Where did you order...

Where did everyone order there bridesmaid dresses??

I found a Bill Levkoff dress I like but don't know where I should have my girls order it that will be affordable and most importantly do great alterations. Any suggestions?? (preferably in nassau)

we ordered the dresses in late July for a November wedding. So 4 months! that's 3 months to come in and about 1 month for alterations. But the dresses ended up coming in early.

I'll prob check out Lillette's. I think it is really close to me, it's in Baldwin right??
How are their alterations? That's the part I'm most nervous about in bm dress ordering bc I've heard some girls run into big problems with alterations and I really don't want my BMs to have to go though any of that.

Also, does anyone know how it works when one of my bridesmaids lives out of town? oh and shes pregnant! She's due in march and my wedding's not until august, but how does she get measured??

I found my BM dresses online then called brial stores to see if they had them. Once I figured out who had them I negociated price and went with the store that gave the best price! If you tell them another salon gave a better price, THEY WILL MEET THE PRICE. Every bridal store I went to gave me a better price than the next. Don't be afraid to ask. GL!!!!

you can take advantage of the no-frills ordering program from RK Bridal (their based in Manhattan) to get a cheaper price but they will not do the alterations. you would have to find the seamstress yourself.

i've used the no-frills twice (for a friends wedding that i was a bm at) and i had my friend measure me. the sizing were just right, the only alteration i needed was the hems and i didn't need a really good seamstress for that!

RK Bridal...great stuff and if you do 'no frills' the dresses are discounted at around 30-40 bucks

My girls are wearing bill levkoff and they ordered there dresses in October and Im getting married in April....they ordered from Lilletts in Bellmore and they cost 175 plus they got 10% off because I ordered my dress there.

That's where I got my dress :) I was going to order the BM dresses there to get the discount, but they don't do alterations for BM dresses and I would really rather order them somewhere that does so it will be convenient for my girls...Did you get your gown there??

I'm definitely going to check out Lillette's and probably call some other stores too like Burtons and Village Bridal. Will they tell me their prices over the phone??

i went through bridal elegance in dix hills. dresses came in super quick and we are very very very pleased with their service. and they cap the girls alterations at $60.
