Re: Help pre cana
Ok, so I want to preface this as this is only my opinion but I've seen many posts like this before and it sort of just bothers me - I really don't understand why some people complain about the cost of pre-cana - your MARRIAGE preparation. Many girls, even myself included, will spend upwards into the tens of thousands of dollars on ONE DAY - the WEDDING - and yet some people are having a hard time dealing with the cost of pre-cana. It really does not make any sense to me at all. As you learn in pre-cana the WEDDING is a DAY, the MARRIAGE is for LIFE. I really don't see the reason to try and skimp here. If you are open and responsive to the whole point of pre-cana I guarantee that you will get more for your $300 or $200 than you would if you spent it elsewhere towards your wedding, ie: tissue cry-packs, bubbles, menu cards, out of town baskets, etc. In this day and age where the divorce rate is extremely high, isn't it nice that your religion offers this preparation before hand so you can have an idea of what a big commitment you and your FH are about to take on??
Re: Help pre cana
I know what you mean! we were going to do that and FH was like uhhh we can put that money towards the wedding lol. We did ours at Saint Anne's in Garden City, it was only two meetings for an hour and a half at a couples house, and it was really really good =)
