help-- romantic restaurant- POLL!!

Hey ladies, I need some help-- I need opinions on restaurants and so far I have seen the listed restaurants online and I really like them... has anyone been to any of them?

I am really looking for something romantic... feel free to suggest other locations as well.

thanks

FH and I went to The Polo Restaurant in the Garden City hotel for our 5 year anniversary. It was a bit pricey, but the food was very very good and it was a very very nice place!!

Is casa la femme open?
It used to be on the upper east & then they closed... I think they were planning to re-open in a new location before 1/1/08. Maybe there is another on LI?

Since I can't sleep...NYC romantic as per Zagats:
Aureole
Bouley
Cafe des Arttistes
Chanterelle
Convivium Osteria

My favorites:
Asiate (Really Pricey)
Uva (because I get great wine & cheese & to us that's romantic)

My sister also went to the Louie x ( however u say it haha) and she said it was awesome!!!

I have been to The Gatsby for my uncle's wedding (upstairs)....it was lovely, they had different rooms I think, but I'm not sure how romantic and secluded. The food was good though....

Louis XVI I have never been to but my parents went during LI Restaurant week and said it didn't live up to the hype....so idk.

I definitely would reccomend Mazzi also! It is on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station. It looks like nothing on the outside, but once you step in it is so cozy and intimate, with not very many tables at all and the food was excellent!

Piccolo in Huntington. Not Piccola Bussola. Piccolo is a cozy little place in Huntington that has a great ambience and great food. FH and I have gone there for several anniversaries. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. You also need to make reservations.

Incredibly pricey but absolutely romantic: The Homestead in Greenwich CT. Far away but worth a trip up the I-95, I tell you, especially around Christmas when it's decorated to the nines.

In NYC, more reasonably priced romantic spot is The Place in the village.
