Ok, so FH is making our invitations. He created our response cards and I am not sure of them. I need honest opinions PLEASE. Read each choice carefully.

i think younger people will think its funny.....but older people might be put off by it or confused....maybe you could compromise and just take out the 2 extra replys about the bells?

Re: Help settle an argument between FH and I
I agree with the other girls. For me, it would be funny... but older people might not get the joke. I also think that having 4 choices is too much b/c it will get confusing to some people. I also agree with the other poster that it makes the wedding more casual than formal. You can still say - will attend with bells on and the other choice could be will not be able to attend.
Good luck!!

I laughed out loud when I read it. I think older people will get it because it was a popular saying back in the day. My mom always says it and she is in her late 60's.

To be honest, I don't like it at all. I think it gives the impression that your wedding isn't really a formal occasion, that it's more laid back and casual. And I do think it may confuse people, I would just keep it simple.
ITA!!!
yea i am not a fan either. just keep it simple
I agreed with both above opinions!

Re: Help settle an argument between FH and I
someone said something about bells means gifts...i have to disagree. i don't think that 'with bells' means anything gift-related. i've always thought that 'with bells' means you'll be happy to be there. so i think it should be:
be there, with bells on or unable to attend.
though the 4 choices is a cute idea, i think it's a little over-done and simplifying it to the 2 choices, keeps it cute and simple.
other than that, cute idea. i don't think that older guests will be confused by the 2 choices (just maybe put off by the 4). i've actually gotten this once and everyone thought it was cute and fed into the vibe of it being a happy day. so i see nothing wrong with it. give the older people a little credit!! :o)
good job on the graphics, etc.

I think there is a time and a place for stand up comedy. Wedding invitations are not the place. Although it is funny.

I think it's really cute, actually. It shows a unique style. Maybe keep it to the 2 choices, like the other posters suggested.

I like it. If you are having a fun and party atmosphere of a wedding. I think it really depends on what kind of couple you are and what kind of guest you are having.

i think you are better off with 'will attend' or 'will not attend'
