I was hoping you could help me put together a list of small wedding venue/restaurants for my sister who just got engaged. This will be a second marriage, so they do not want anything big...just immediate family. There will definitely be less than 50 people there, but more than 25. So anywhere in that range.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where she should look? They want it to be an intimate setting.

The portly grape in Greenport Long Island...in wine country. Pics on website don't do the place justice. I took mu own pics if you want to see them FM me. I wanted to have my wedding there so badly, but the place could not accomodate my guest list of 200 people.

theres a place in DP, its a really beautiful room on the side of the golf course... Papa Joes owns it (great food) Weve had parties there, you have the whole place to yourself. its kind of like you have the grounds to yourself too. Good prices too

It's my second marriage and I'm inviting 45 guests. I'm having it at Two Steak & Sushi Den in New Hyde Park. They have a private room downstairs that can accommodate a sit down dinner and a DJ for dancing. The food is to die for!

Look at the George Washington Inn in Roslyn. They have several rooms for different sizes but it is a small and intimate, little bit different, place.

Captain Bills in Bayshore has a seperate building where they hold weddings!! Its beautiful!!!

Snapper Inn Restaurant in Sayville is right by the water and they offer a lot of seafood if that is what most people would like. They also offer beef, chicken, etc.
Another suggestion is possibly the Swan Club in Nassau County (can't remember where it is). If I remember correctly, the Swan Club had a small room for less than 40 and the setting is great for photos.
However, I don't think either offered a dance floor. The room at the Swan Club may have offered a small dance floor.

Captain Bill's has a gorgeous room!
Irish Coffee Pub has a pretty room with fireplace and hardwood floors, the food is really good there!
Three Village Inn like Jess said is really pretty and very reasonably priced.

The restaurant at East Wind accommodates small wedding my cousin had hers there with about 35-40 people. It was really nice.

I love Bubby's! If you don't mind Brooklyn Buckley's Caterers is also nice and the food is fantastic there. Pricing is also reasonable.
