My invitations need to go out by next weekend and I've YET to buy stamps.. EEEK!
My question is, because of the size of my envelope, I need a $1.19 worth of postage on the main envelope. How do I get a stamp for $1.19??
Technically I could order them from Zazzle in that denomination, but I am NOT paying Zazzle's pricing.
Do I need to use 1 $0.49 stamp and 1 $0.70 stamp?

Would the Post Office be able to stamp them for that price and you pay right there? That's what I was planning on doing.

Just go to the post office, have them weigh it, and they'll tell you exactly what you have to put on. And go to a bigger post office, they'll have more selection of wedding stamps.

Ok, so the only thing the post office would do is print the postage stickers for me. I didn't want to do that because I don't love the way it looks.
Furthermore, they haven't printed the $0.70 stamps yet (which is a JOKE since they already raised the rate - how do you raise th rate and not have stamps to support the raised rate?!). Anyway, I had to use 3 $0.49 stamps on each outter envelope! Which is more postage than necessary but I didn't have many other pretty options... :(

Stamps are crazy! I went today to buy the new $.66 stamps that are now $.70 and they only had these hideous stamps that I refused to put on my invitations so I bought two of the forever rose stamps and put that on each. My postage is way higher than it needs to be, but there was no way I was having a wooden chair with an orange background on my invites. Whoever thought those were a good idea should be fired ASAP.

My FH and I ran to the post office right before they raised the price and they gave me the flags and i was like i am not putting those on my save the dates!!! FH thought i was crazy and the women at the post office rolled her eyes. LOL. No one understands!!! Its like you go through ALL that trouble of making the invites, making sure everyone is invited, and everything is perfect and then they want you to put an ugly stamp on the outside! I mean i am sure in a few years i will be laughing at myself because a stamp is a stamp, but still!
