HELP - Tipping advice, please!

HELP! I need advice on how much to tip or if anyone knows of a website that has tipping guidelines! How much do we tip the photographer, the videographer, the band? We were going to give the limo guys $20 tip each - Is that okay? (I mean, we are also paying $70 in gratuity that was on our bill.) Also, the florist - when our flowers are delivered, do we just tip the delivery guy $10 or so, or should we give more than that? I don't want to be cheap, but everything is so expensive all ready! Any advice at all would be very greatly appreciated!

HELP - Tipping advice, please!

KarenT Do a search on this site for tipping b/c there were some other messages posted last week about tipping. They are pretty good in regards to how much you should tip. Here is what I've found out. Hope this helps. The standard for the photographer is if they own their own company then you shouldn't tip them b/c the are taking the whole profit. If they are working for a studio and you think they did a good job then I'd say about $50-100. As for the Band, that is like the DJ and is up to you depending on how good/bad you thought they performed at the wedding. What you should do for this kind of situation is give out envelopes with discretionary cash in them to a trusted party at the wedding. Best friend, Maid of Honor, Best Man, etc and ask them to use the amount of $$ you put in the envelope at their discretion. Explain to them who they are responsible for tipping and I'm sure they'd be happy to do this job for you. The florist, I think that you're estimate is good for the delivery guy. Just tip him between $10-$20 or more if you think he/she deserves it. The limo drivers, if the gratuity is already included the I wouldn't tip them at all unless you felt that their service was extremely good and then I'd say about $20 each. I know that things are so expensive these days when it comes to weddings so I hope that this helps. Good luck. Vic

I don't think you need to tip the drivers anything additional. The driver is getting the built in gratuity. The florist delivery people-i would tip. Photographer, mine has a built in too. Same with the wait staff at the reception.
