HELP--UNEMPLOYMENT QUESTION!

I know you guys are mostly in NY, and we are in RI...but FH got discharged from his job...no explanations..no reasons...

Anywyas, he is going for unemployment, they say he has a phone interview on 6/7 to see if he can get a claim because he has been'discharged' from his previous jobs....


WHat does this mean? Is there a possibility he will not get any unemploymetn? I am so clueless....

It depends on the reason for his discharges.

My father always worked seasonally and always had to go through the application process when he went on unemployment over the winters...

They are just going to evaluate his situation. Should be ok if they say he was let go as long as it was not 'fired'. It depends on the case really. Don't worry!

It's just the process I think....

Usually they get concerned when you tell that you quit and then want benefits.
