So I went for my hair trial with all good intentions thinking it was going to go well. I'm glad it was only a trial. I brought a few of my BM's with me for some support. They all loved the end result, I on the other hand wasn't too sure. When I came home to show FH, he didn't like it one bit. The more I looked and thought about it, I wasn't happy with it either. I've looked through HUNDREDS of photos of all sorts of up-dos, long do's, half up, half down, etc...
NOW WHAT?! I wasn't really sold on the trial from when I left the salon. I don't know what to do?!
FH envisions me with big bouncy curls on the day of. Even if leave my hair down like he wants me to, then I'll wind up playing with my hair out of being nervous as I do all day while in meetings or presentations at work, clearly I can't leave it all down because I have a lot of hair, thick and long. I really need some help, advice anything that would make me feel better.

If you didn't like your trial, then do a different hairstyle. I had my hair all up for my trial and liked it. Then DH started hinting that he liked my hair down... so I decided to do a half up half down do. I didn't have a second trial. I just told her on the day of and she did a fabulous job! Don't worry about playing with your hair that day, there will be so many things on your mind you won't do it. Also there will be so much hairspray in your hair that playing with it will be impossible!
Go for another trial to make yourself feel better.

Hi There,
Since FH does not want your hair all up, then why dont you do half up and half down. This way you can have the bouncy curls and it will be away from your face so you wont play with it.
Will that work for you?

my hair is thick and very long, i wore it all down and didn't touch it all day... i think you'd be fine!

well yea good thing it was just a TRIAL! Just go and book some more trials. dont stop here! and dont let it discourage you... theres a ZILLION hairstylists around...

Play around with your hair and take some pictures to show the hair stylist that day so this way they have a better idea of what you want!

I just went to get my hair trimmed by the same stylist that will be doing my hair the day of, and she said that it's a bad idea for girls with thick and long hair (I have that too) to do an updo. She said that the hair won't stay up for the entire day and it will end up hurting you, specificaly your neck from the weight. for me she recommended my hair down and loosely tied back.

I like this idea, but I didn't give DH a choice about my hair.

If you didnt love it then go for another one...you will get it right-I know my hair trial is going to more like trials b/c I am SO picky about my hair

You should go for another trial. I was unsure of how I wanted my hair so the girl I used did 3 styles at my trial for no extra $. She was really wonderful and I was very happy. FM me if you want her info.
