HELP!!!! Unity candle!!

I am trying to find a unity candle. I saw it once, but can't seem to find it again. It was a white candle, with blue crystals on it in the shape of a Jewish Star. I have spent the last hour and a half trying to search the net for it. I have no idea where I found it. Can anyone PLEASE help me? I don't even remember if I saw it online or in a printed catalog. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I am getting desperate. We decided this weekend that we will probably do the unity candle in our ceremony, and this is the candle I want. I am so upset that I can't find it.

Isnt liting a unity candle, a practice from Christian weddings?

Re: HELP!!!! Unity candle!!

Not necessarily. It actually can be considered to come from either religion.

It was the Baal Shem Tov, a medieval Jewish mystic who wrote: “From every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven. And when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, their streams of light flow together and a single, brighter light goes forth from their united being.”

So it can be either. Our Rabbi gave us the okay. He said it is more of an American thing that people have 'assigned' a religious value to. From some of the reading I've done, it actually started as a way of uniting families during second marriages where children are involved.
