Since FH can't take a vacation right now the weekend after the wedding we want to go somewhere. Not so far that it takes forever to drive - maybe 3-4 hours tops. We want to have fun, a nice pool or beach and then be able to have a nice dinner.
Checked out montauk - no rooms right now. We really dont want to spend anymore then 300 a room before tax. Looked into A.C but he went to Tropicana for his bach party and I went to Borgata for mine. The only other thing I can think of is NYC but thats something we really could do anytime? Looked into Mount Airy in the Poconos and I dont think they have a pool. Foxwoods was 599 for one night and Mohegan was 530 for one night.
Any ideas?

How about a bed and breakfast in Mystic, CT. It might be a little longer than 3 hours but it's a beautiful little town and romantic.
Lake placid is absolutely gorgeous its 1000% nicer than lake george. The High peaks resort is amazing request a lakeside room. They will usually have some kind of promotion going so it should be in your price range. HTH

have you ever heard of mohonk mountain house? not sure how much it would cost this time of year, but i've been there several times (it's up in new paltz) and there's so much to do there.

Norwich, CT....specifically the Norwich Inn and Spa. It is located about 5 minutes from Mohegan Sun so you can spend the day at the spa and then go out at night. The hotel offers packages at great prices that include spa services and meals. I absolutely love it there!

might be a little far, but what about a resort in vermont? A lot of them have non snow related activities in the fall.

What about Cove Haven Resort in the Poconos? I have heard great things about that place. I think they have all these different romantic rooms. I think one is a champagne jacuzzi.

Why don't you check out the surrounding areas near AC? I go to Ocean City every year which is 4 towns south of AC. The only thing is that it is a dry town. Other areas over there are just as nice but without the seediness of AC. LOL

You can also looking into Saratoga Springs. There's an AMAZING hotel in the state park up there (can't remember the name off the top of my head) and it's beautiful and the food is amazing, and it's in the middle of a state park!

Ocean city Maryland! It's a nice roadtrip. You can get a hotel right on the beach for not too expensive. Check out the quality inn oceanfront. Don't forget to go to seacrets!!! The coolest place ever.
