Re: help w/ interview question
You can never say 'no'. If a co-worker, a friend, a family member asks for your help, you just have to help 'em.
ETA: But make sure you let them know it's never at the expense of your other obligations.

I personally like the answer of: being impatient, and then elaborate on the fact that you like to get things done efficiently, and sometimes it's hard to get a project done if you're waiting on a piece of information.

Re: help w/ interview question
always turn it into something positive!
I always say that Im a perfectionist- bc it can be a good thing- it means im thorough and make sure everything is done correctly... the negative, it can be time consuming
obvi never say things like im late, im messy, unorganized etc
good luck!

I work in H.R. and can honestly say that most people give this as their 'weakness'.
It makes me I hate this question anyway!

Re: help w/ interview question
I don't know if its a good answer but one of my professor's coached us to basically make it have a positive spin. When I interviewed for the position I am in now, I said my biggest weakness was learning how to let others help if I got bombarded with work. That I always want to finish what I start so I thought of it as weakness when I couldn't do it all. My manager told me after he hired me that it was a good answer because it let him know that I was a hard worker. But, he worries now that I have too much on my plate!
HTH and good luck with the interview!

Re: help w/ interview question
With a ques like that I have found that 'spinning' your answer is the best way to go about it. Also, it depends on what position you are apply for (I havent been around so I dont know your back story) For the job I have now, a personal assistant: my reply was, too independent. Now IMPO, its never bad for an employee to be independent, but I was pretty sure they were looking for someone who was able to work on his/her own to get the job done. I also stated that although I feel its important for an employee to be able to complete his/her tasks independently, it is also important to form a 'team like' atmosphere in the office. HTH & GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Re: help w/ interview question
I interview a lot on campuses and can tell you, I never ask that question because it STINKS.
If you DO get asked it, you can be honest BUT can also give an example of how you are improving on it. Like for example if you say you used to be unorganized, you can say that this has been an issue in the past HOWEVER you now have a daily planner, take time to reorganize your notes weekly, etc. Improving on a weakness is always good to show!
