HELP! what do I say to someone that . ..

Does anyone know what I can say to someone that didn't recieve a thank you card from my shower yet? My FH's side of the family is a bit . . . 'tempermental' and although I sent out ALL of my shower thank yous within 3 days of the shower (complete with lengthy personal notes), one must have gotten lost in the mail and FMIL just told me about how this particular person has made it known that she's upset she didn't receive one.

So now I'm going to write her a 2nd thank you (almost 2 months after shower) and say something to the effect that I'm really sorry she never received my first thank you, but I definitely am so grateful for the gift and blah blah. But how do I make it known that the first one must've gotten lost in the mail, and that I did NOT forget her without sounding like a b!tch?

I would write out the traditional part of the TY first. Then, leave pleny of room for a P.S. after you sign it.

For the P.S part, I would write 'I was so sad to hear that you didn't receive your original thank you card. Please know that I'm very greatful for your gift and so happy you were there to celebrate my upcoming marriage'
