Help!!! What should I expect as far as responses go.

Ok my fiance and I wanted to keep it small and simple and get married in Aruba with about 50 people however parents and everyone else in the world got involved and we just sent out 120 invites for 201 guests. Does anybody know what kind of response (percentage) to expect? The wedding is this October 7th. ITs a Friday and its Columbus day weekend. I hate to say it but we are hoping that about 40 people wont make it because of the holiday and the day of the week. Help!!!

it is possible. As a general (and I meanGENERAL) rule of thumb approximately 20% will respond no.

We had more than 20% due to some inclimate weather the day of my wedding. People called at the last minute (mostly the older people) and said they would not be able to come.

Note: I'm getting married Columbus Day Weekend as well and I have found that more of our OOT guest have decided to come to the wedding since it is a holiday weekend. We invited 317 and we are wondering how many will say YES! I would love 150 at the wedding but I'm sure that there will be more like 250!
