I want to make an appointment for a fitting soon and the tailor told me I need to make sure I have all of my undergarments when I do go.
So what's the best bra to wear under an ivory, satin, strapless dress? What type of undies? Should I wear boy leg or will a g-string be ok? Stupid questions, but I wantto make sure I pick out the right things.

hey cuban - don't you have a Maggie/Corset Back? I don't plan on wearing a bra with my corset - but the Olympia (I think that is what you have) might be different....
You have me thinking now about G String vs. Boy Shorts - I think for the fitting I would wear the boy shorts, just so my heinie isn't in her face. Day of wedding - G all the way!

I wasn't ither until 2 people told me (one being the tailer) that the boobs droop slightly without a bra. I don't want to be droopy.

droopie boobies?!?! I have a maggie also and planned on going braless...I was actually relieved figured this could be the first time going without one since I was in fourth grade (some say I'm blessed...I say I'm cursed!) Do you all think I should sew cups into the corset back dress??? And I'd go with the boy shorts for the fitting...don't think I'd want to prance around in a g-string...I think they were informing you of undergarments interms of bra and girdle if you were wearing one of them.

I think this is your best bet. Or get those 'Natural' cups - the ones that stick on you and clasp in the middle but there is no back. They sell them on tv, I'm not positive of the name.
As far as undies go, I'm going to be wearing boy shorts in light blue (for my something blue) that say 'I Love Brett' on the butt

Huh.....I too am intrigued because I was told with a maggie that they sew it right in there. Maybe get one of those long ones. I am thinking of wearing g string with garter panties although standing in front of a seamstress looking like that......

on second thought, i really don't think a bra is neccesary with a maggie...I think it was made so you don't have to wear one.
Cuban - have you tried it on without a bra? i'm confused now.
I think i will post a question on Newlyweds...i don't think i'm going to wear the bra with my maggie - I am pretty well endowed and that corset really held my ladies up...
I guess it really depends on your situation, but I would go in and try it without the bra first.

I have tried it on without a bra and you do get that droopy look. A bunch of girls have recommended the long line bra.
And I am not talking about just standing in front of the seamstress. She told me to wear exactly what I will be wearing on our wedding day.
