HELP! What would you do?

Ok so I have been noticing that my FH has been looking at bridal gowns in magazines telling me which one he thinks are 'hot' and so I had him on Maggie Sottero's website yesterday and I told him to show me which dresses he doesn't like and when he got to my dress he said it was DISGUSTING! Mind you it was in pink not white on the site.. but still he said he hates the pick up look on the bottom. He doesn't know it was my dress! I was so hurt!! His mom said not to worry because he hasnt seen the dress on you.. but still...
If you were me..would u look for another dress that he likes.. or keep the dress you have and hope he likes it??? My dress is already in too mind you!

Chrissy, when he sees how BEAUTIFUL YOU FEEL in it, and how you're glowing, he won't even remember that he doesn't like pickups. I bet you $100 he's gonna be speechless.

Don't even THINK of changing your dress- its so beautiful on you!

Hey, Chrissy...I'm popping on! LOL, DH did the same thing when he saw my gown: He said, 'Big gowns are so over the top, sleeker gowns are so much more sophistocated.' I wanted to cry.

Now, you are gorgeous. When he sees you, he will think you are a beautiful princess, exactly what mine thought. Pay it no attention and tease him after the wedding.

I would not worry about it and stop looking at dresses with him!!!!!!!

When he sees you in it, all done up, do you think for 2 seconds he is going to look at you and say 'I told you I hated that pick up dress'? I don't think so Chris!

awhhh Thanks girlies!! I was ready to tell him he is going to have to pay for a reception dress for me to change into!
I'll take your advise..and stick with my choice.. but if he ditches me at the alter cause I'm disgusting.. you girls are gonna hear it!

I think if I were to show my dress to Peter on someone else..he probably would not like it.

But here's the thing...its the woman that makes the dress...not the other way around. People wear things different ways.

Your happiness and your excitement will make this dress ten times better on you than anyone else. Promise.

And also...while men have opinions and what not...they still don't know their head from their arse.

When Vin sees you in that dress, it will take his breath away. And then later on show him the pic again....he will bite his tongue..he won't even know it was the same dress.

I agree with your fmil. Most dresses look diff on each person who puts it on. Besides I'm sure you can show up in a burlap sack and your fh will still think you look beautiful. don't worry and keep the dress.

I agree completely. he will never remember in a million years what the dress in the magazine looks like. When he sees you (even it was pink) the world will stop turning, and he will think you are the most beautiful thing in the world.
I also agree, stop looking at dresses with him. You have chosen yours, no need to look anymore.

THIS EXACT THING happened to me!!! I had my FI go onto a website (Allure Bridal) and asked him what he thought of the dresses. When he got to the one that I was going to buy, he said that it did NOTHING for him becuase of the pickups. He hated that look!!!! I was devastated

He showed me ones that he really liked and thought that would look good on me. He did say in the end that it didn't matter what I was wearing........he was marrying me, not the dress and if I liked that look, then that's all that mattered.

BUT, in my eyes, the damage was done...... So I looked for another dress....things that I liked and things that he liked, and I found the ONE for me!.........

Just do what you feel in your heart! If you LOVE that dress, then stay with it! He is going to see YOU more than the dress But, if you really worried, then maybe take a peak at other dresses just to see.........

It's a tough one, that's forsure! Good luck!!

I have to tell you its one of the reasons I am getting a new dress. I got a ball gown, which I really did not want at first, I tried it on again and hated it, but when FH told me that he can not see me in a big ball gown that its not me, well needless to say I am buying a new gown and lossing my deposit. If you love your dress stay with it. I did not and him telling me that was enough to send me over the top and say I am getting a new one. Do what is right for you.

Chrissy - I agree with everyone - stick to your heart ... your heart led you to him, and it led you to the dress that you picked. You knew it was the one ... and when he sees you in it - it will not be the same as when he saw it on the website. A pic on the web does not do ANY dress justice. you will glow with happiness in that dress and he will fall in love with your dress the same way you did

When i was shopping for dresses I got all sorts of opinions on what people liked on me and what they didn't...i ended up with a much more traditional dress than what i thought i would, but that one made me feel amazing when i had it on...

FH had looked thru pics while i was shopping...and his opinion varied alot...i decided to just look for what i wanted..because I am sure most FH's would want us in some Fredericks of Hollywood see thru lace get-up with thigh high white leather boots if we really wore what they hoped we would, right? hahaha...i would say stick with your original...you bought it because you loved it just the way it was...hope you feel better about whatever you decide!

If u want my opinion.... I would not do anything. Vinny will love ur dress once he sees u in it. In my opinion it is a BEAUTIFUL gown. and not for nothing hun but u are one hot mamma.. nothing can look bad.
When u picked ur dress u got the feeling inside that it was 'the one'. U know how they say follow ur 1 instint most of the time ua re not wong. well this is ne of thiose times. Follow ur instinct and stick to ur 1st choice!

Chrissy... First off your dress is to die for! and you know I am partial to pick ups.. AND.. one of my girlfriends got married in June and had pickups on her dress and Larry loved it.. so you know you have the 2 of us that will love your dress!!!!

Vinny is being an @ss!!! He doesn't realize that you are going to be a knockout at your wedding and will take his breath away..

and the dress is weird looking in pink.. you know that.. I am sure he was just reacting to that!!!
