HELP! Which name should I use for my invites

Hi ladies!!

Ok I need your help.....I have 2 names - My American/English name, which is Harriet, and my Greek name, which is Haroula.

Legally, I am Harriet but the only people who have called me that are people in school (since Haroula isn't the most ordinary name, as if Harriet is) and people at work. Other than that, everyone, including FH, family, FH's family, close friends, call me Haroula.....

What name do I put on my wedding invites? FH says Haroula, since he has never once called me by Harriet, but I am not sure....

Ideas???

I would use your greek name.

I would use your Greek birth name. Usually for weddings everyone uses their more formal name for invites and vows, etc.

its Ioanna, so i get Iona (as in the college lol),

sometimes people think its an L so they call me Loanna

and some people insist they call you by your real name even though they cant say it to save their life, im like PLEASE Joanna is fine thanks bye

AHAHAHAH - you have to hear them with my last name...let's not even attempt that one!!! Are you using Joanna or Ioanna?

definitely use your greek name, especially if everybody calls you by it... i'm not going to use my greek name because nobody ever calls me that... so if ppl are getting an invite with my greek name they would be like who the heck is that?? lol

Hey,

I'm kind of in the same predicament. My real name is Carmela, but ever since birth pretty much I've been called Melina (comes from Carmelina) by family. I only use Carmela in school and work because it is my legal name. So for my Eparty, I put Melina on the invites..some of my relatives dont even know my real name is Melina, and plus FH has NEVER called me Carmela. I was thinking that the wedding invite should be formal therefore I should put my real name but I like Melina better and I dont want people getting my invite and wondering whose wedding they are being invited to! People at work don't know about my 'other name' so I guess I'll just have to explain when I give them the invite lol.

So after all that blabbing, i say go with the name you like best and the name that FH refers to you by
