HELP with address list PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies, I need to send my invitation designer my guest list with address, titles, etc....I know some people have done a spreadsheet for seating chart, RSVP list, thanks you, etc....I'm wondering if I should just do 1 for all and send her the whole thing or just do one for her with addresses and titles and do a separate one for other things....if so how the hell do i start! lol

I highly recommend entering all of your guest list info onto a website like theknot.com or weddingchannel.com

They have guest list managers on there where you put in guest list, addresses, how you want envelopes worded, etc and then you can track all of the replies you get, etc. right on the site. It makes life so much easier. Then you can export those lists into an excel or whatever other type of file if you need to.

I used the guest list manager on weddingchannel.com. I sent the log in information to the girl who is doing my invitations and I also gave it to my MOH to use for all my shower invitations. Makes life so much easier to have it all saved on a website so that whoever needs access to it, you can just give them your log in info.

THANKS. She said she wants it in excel. Will i be able to transfer from the website to excel without typing it all over again?

Yep. On the weddingchannel.com's guest list manager you can export the file into an excel spreadsheet. Then just save that and email it your invitation designer. It's really easy to do. There's a little link on the guest list manager that says 'export list'. Then it says 'select list to export'. If you export the address book, it will have all the information copy right over to an excel spreadsheet.

thanks so much for your help. I was getting a little lost with that. I guess I have to start using excel more often.

Im trying to add more columns like title, if is a child or adult, A/B list. I guess I could do that once I enter everything? I'm so lost. I just want to make sure she knows not everyone in the list gets an invitation. The list makes it seem like even the kids listed get an invitation. I'm not doing it for me i'm doing it for invitation envelopes so i wonder if this format works...

Once you put in the names and addresses and how the invitation envelopes are worded they will all go in a list.

When you go on under the heading 'guest list manager', you will see just the names listed. Next to the names there is a box to check off as to whether the person is 'a list' or not. Then there is 'number of guests' box. So if you have a family invited that is 2 adults, 2 kids, but would only get one invitation enter it this way.

First/Last Name - dad
Guest name - mom
Outer envelope - The Smith Family
Inner envelope - Mom, dad, girl, boy.
then when you look at the name under guest list manager enter 4 for number of people attending.
