Is there anyone in the New York City area who can recommend a reform synagague that encourages converts to Judaism? I was hoping to marry soon, and would appreciate a synagogue that would let me convert as soon as possible.
Unfortunately my synagoge is conservative, but I just wanted to say good luck with your conversion classes. My mom converted before I was born, and I know it was not an easy time. Kudos to you!

Re: help with converting to Judaism
I know you didn't ask this, but the best way to convert is through an orthodox conversion. It is recognized by all branches of Judaism. It may not be so important to you, but it will become extremely important when you have children - and especially when they are of age to marry. I know that is far off - but its just a thought of something you might want to look into.
