Help with CPs (with pictures)!

I went to see my sample centerpiece this past weekend, and I have to admit that I wasn’t too thrilled about them. I had asked for bright colors, with a very summery feel that invoke a garden party feel. I don’t want white/ivory or pastel flowers. Since the tables at my reception site are oval, I thought that having multiple arrangements on each table would be nice.

I’m just not sure if the like the flowers that were used. The pictures below are after I asked to have the orange lilies taken out and replaced with other flowers. I’m still not crazy about them. Do the CPs look too messy? Should I ask for more of the same flowers? I don’t want all roses, and I want the CPs to have some texture, but these just look a little sloppy to me. Am I crazy?

I’m meeting with another florist to see their sample in a couple of weeks. I was much more specific with Florist #2, so hopefully that one will turn out more to my liking.

Oh, and what do you think of the table runner? They would be narrower, and of course on an oval table.

I like them. But I think I would get rid of the gerber daisies (too informal imo) and remove any orange flowers.

Is this the look you want?

I really like the centerpieces, but agree that if you were to take away the table runner and perhaps add some yellow, it'd look a tad more summery! Having said that, it's YOU that needs to be pleased, so I hope you are able to communicate your desires with whichever florist you chose. Good Luck!

I think they are really pretty! I would definitely take out the scattered petals though.

I really like the arrangement, but I agree that the runner should be a lighter color. The set-up is pretty but it doesn't say 'garden party' at least to me. Was this at Diana Gould or Arcadia?

take out the dark red and orange and replaace with lighter pinks and peach that should do it

I think I get what you mean. I can't put my finger on what it is that I don't like, but I just don't love them. It's not the flowers that they used, but maybe it's just lacking in the arrangement department. could be the florist. Maybe the photos aren't doing it justice, but they're not wow. It's not the colors. The colors are fine. I think it's just not a great arrangement. Keep shopping, I'm sure another florist can execute your idea better.
