Help with Cradle Cap

HI everyone- my son has a pretty bad case of cradle cap. I read you should try a little bit of baby oil and then try to comb it out. I was going to do this at night- but my question is- do i let him sleep with the oil in his hair, or do i let it sit for an hour or so, then wash it out?
Thanks !

Even better, try olive oil. rub it in his scalp, let it sit for 15 mins or so, wash his hair and comb it out

Tara had CC and I used the baby oil and comb method and it worked unbelieveably well. Later I bathed her and washed her hair. It took a few washings before I felt like the oil was out but I wasnt going to scrub her head. I would definitely wash the baby's hair 1x before he sleeps.

with angela, I rubbed baby oil well into her scalp while she was in the tub, then washed her hair. the next day, I took her brush with the soft bristles rather than a comb, and just brushed and brushed opposite direction of how her hair grows. Everything just flaked off. i did this two days in a row and it was gone.

I used the olive oil too. Massaged it in, and combed it out with a baby comb.

Then bathed him and washed his hair. For real stubborn CC it will probably need to be done again but it really does work unbelievably well.

Claire had a VERY bad case of cradle cap. I tried olive oil leaving it on for 15-20 minutes, brushing and then giving her a bath, it helped but I found the Gentle Naturals Cradle Cap lotion worked wonders, you can find it at most drug stores in the baby ailse. Also if it is really bad a fine tooth comb will get the flakes off better then a brush after you apply the oil or lotion. Good Luck
