Help with Hair/Makeup

I was wondering what is the best way for an out-of-town bride to find someone to do her/my hair/make-up? I don't want to pay a fortune, but would like someone who knows what they are doing. My problem is that we don't visit all that often because of my full-time college and 40-60 hour/week work schedule. Has anyone had this problem and could recommend some solutions?? Even if it is indirectly, anything would be helpful! :)! Thanks for the help. Nancy

If you search for Elena on this board you will find her number. I booked her for my Nov.2,2002 wedding. I have already met her and had a trial. She is great. She does your hair and makeup plus stays with you until after the first dance.She is more of a bridal assistant. She makes sure that you are touched up (if you need) during photos since some photos are taken inside and some outside. The photographer works with her if he/she feels that your makeup is too heavy for outside or too lite for inside. Whatever the case is. She also makes sure that your dress is bustled. If you take your veil off she also helps with that. She cost $170ish. I cannot remember the exact fee. You can ask her if she will just do hair/makeup for you if you do not want her to stay. The trial costs $40.00 There are also a few other makeup/hair people that brides recommend on the board. If you do a search you will find a bunch of posts. Good Luck!!

She was absolutely amazing! I had a very casual hair trial with her and just knew she would be great, and she was. (I have very curly hair, and many people just don`t know how to work with my type of hair). I never went for a make-up trial with her, and that too worked out just great. I work two jobs, so my spare time is very, very limited. Everything turned out great, and I couldn`t have been happier. She also did my mom, sister-in-law (MOH) and flowergirl.
