Okay, FIRST I want to warn any and all people that booked at Beach Club Estates..the renovations are NOT happening. Please email me at [email protected]. We are still in contract there but scared to stay in and looking elsewhere. I know of two couples who sent their invites out and now have to find a new place. AHHHH
That being said, we found Chateau Le Mer with our initial date available and Riviera with two days later, both very reasonable fees..but I'm not sure what to make of either place. Are they for real or are there a lot of hidden prices?
Any ideas for other awesome places on the water?
thanks, Val

Re: HELP with Hall
Both are beautiful and great deals -- I looked at both. There are the usual extras -- service charges, taxes, tips, etc. but I don't think anything ridiculous. I loved the outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour at the Rivieara, but preferred reception rooms at CLM -- you have to see which you personally prefer, but I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Re: HELP with Hall
I am using the Riviera. They were very reasonable and upfront with all the fees so far. If you have any specific questions you can fm me.

Two other places on the water are the Old Field Club in Setauket and the Miller Beach Surf Club in Miller Place. Both are good for smaller weddings.

Re: HELP with Hall
Crescent Beach Club is beautiful. Not sure of pricing. I have never been to CLM but have only heard good things. Went to a wedding at Riviera last summer and enjoyed it a lot - the only thing I didn't like was the shape of the room for the number of people they had. It's kind of a funny shape and a few tables were almost completely around the corner from the dance floor so people had to get up and move to see the first dance. But the food was good and the service was attentive.

Re: HELP with Hall
those are the best you'll get for the prices. Crescent is beautiful but I wanted to book there and decided the price wasn't worth it. I'm at the Riviera and they've been great so far.

Re: HELP with Hall
I have never been to the Riviera, but from pictures it looks really nice!! I am a future CLM bride, so I definitely recommend it. The price is great, its beautiful and the food is VERY good. Do a tasting, see how you like it, you don't have to book to do a tasting at CLM.
Good Luck and sorry about your other hall
