Help with Invitation Wording

I want people to know its okay to not wear a suit and tie. I was going to write Suit and Tie are very optional. But...I don't wan to give the impression its okay to wear jeans either. I'm afraid of confusing people when I'm actually trying to make it easier for them.Any ideas??

I didn't put anything on my invite. I think that people will dress in what they're comfortable in based on the type of occasion (wedding) time of year, and time of day.

You could always tell people through word of mouth...or if you have a wedding website.

Good luck!

The saying 'less is more' is quite appropriate here. I didnt put anything because i didnt want black tie.

Personally, I wouldn't write anything and spread it by word of mouth, but make sure everyone hears. If it makes you feel better, you could write, 'Cassual Attire'. You might get a better feel of what you want to say when you talk to the person helping you with the invites. You might also want to talk to the banquet manager.
