Re: Help with invite
I am not sure how that etiquette works. We are paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves, so I put our address. My dad is helping a lot but honestly I want to be able to stalk the mailman everyday, so I wouldnt want it to go anywhere else.

Re: Help with invite
Im sending it to my myself. Why would you have to send it to your parents because they paying? That to me IMO sounds like a VERY OLD SCHOOL tradition that people dont follow anymore. Wouldnt you want to get the RSVP yourself? Instead of having to go to your moms everytime one comes in? I mean THATS the most exciting part! haha Is coming home to RSVP's! I CANT WAIT FOR THAT! lol
I say keep it as is =)

Re: Help with invite
My parents are paying but I sent it to myself. I'm doing all the planning so why send it to them and then I have to wait to get out there to get the responses. I want them NOW :)

Re: Help with invite
Sending it to myself as well (we are also paying) but I can't trust my mother to keep track and I need the RSVPS to a) know if I should mail out the B list and b) to start making seating charts.

If your mom and dad don't mind then don't worry. If you are keeping track of the RSVPs, it makes a lot more sense to have them go to your home then theirs

Re: Help with invite
My parents are paying, but are divorced, so I'll definitely have them sent to me. Besides I'm the one doing all of the planning and organizing.

Re: Help with invite
do whatever is best for you. I put both dh and my name on it. Also i had it sent to dh's house(well before the wedding obviously when he still lived at home) for me it was easier this way bc i lived in a building with a mailbox so things get crammed in there and i always forget the key lol.
I say who cares, i rarely pay attention to who its being sent back to. I also never think 'oh its getting sent back to the parents so they must've paid, or its the couple so they mustve paid' i just dont pay attention to that.

Re: Help with invite
My mom was upset when she heard that I had planned on sending them to myself. She figured that since she's throwing the party, she should get the rsvp's. I gave in... Although it suckssss

Re: Help with invite
We are paying for the wedding so I addressed it to myself. Though, I'd probably do that even if someone else was paying since it'll help when doing the seating charts to already have them in your hands.
