help with macys registry returns

My shower was this past weekend and I got at least 3 double gifts....I guess people don't pay attention to the registry...I don't have the gift receipts, does anyone know Macy's return policy? do they give the lowest sale price when you return without a receipt? I want to get store credit but they're having a sale right now and I'm afraid they'll give me the lowest amount back.

If it's bought off you registry, they'll know how much was paid and will refund you that amount. You didn't have any gift receipts?

I have gift receipts for a few of the items I need to return but a couple of others I don't have them.

They gave me the price it was at the date of the return without a gift receipt, and it was in the form of store credit. This was also a return after a few months, so if its more recent, i'm not sure.

Yea I'm thinking I will get the current price without a receipt, which if that's the case I will wait until they're not on sale and get the higher price for them.

Sometimes they'll give you the most recent sale price, so waiting for it to not be on sale is not as helpful. I'd just bring them back and get it over with.
