help with new year's eve party

i will be hosting a nye party for about 30 people....at first i thought i would do most of the cooking myself, but now it's looking like a LOT of work...i live in queens and do not even know where to begin to look for a good caterer...any suggestions??

What about checking out a local deli or pizzaria/italian restaurant???

octbride - i live in astoria, there are a LOT of deli/pizza places around, but i wanted more variety - not just sandwiches and pizza.... thanks

Noooo.... a lot of the deli's by me do trays, like penne ala vodka, buffalo wings, chicken cordon bleu, etc. Same goes with a lot of pizzarias. I know you don't want pizza and sandwiches. I wasn't even thinking that.

There's an Iavarone Bros. in Middle Village and Maspeth, I know not very close to you but if you want to give them a try....

hmmm....octbride, thats a good idea.....the trays sound good...do you know if places like that also give you the warmer equipment??

I'm not sure where you are in Queens...there's a great deli/butcher/market on Utopia Pkway a few blocks north of the LIE called D'alessandro's. Very good!

Portabello in Astoria, i go there for lunch! Theresa's was good but it burned down, did they fix it?
I live in Middle Village not far from Ivarone, they are a bit pricey though.
