Would you use 12th night, Creative Compositions, or Mark Kauffman? Please help me I'm undecided on which one to you. If you used them can you tell me if they were good, bad and fm me your package info. Any help would be great!

I only met with 12th night out of that bnuch and we almost booked with him. I would have been happy with that choice

We booked 12th Night. They were the only photographer we met with where we really thought the work was creative and different, and great quality. They really work with you and don't try to sell you something you don't need. We also liked that we choose exactly what we want as far as albums and enlargements, and we don't have to do that at any particular time (as soon or late as we want, when we have the money). I also like that we get the negatives. Most places make such a big deal about that because they make all the money on the prints. We felt very comfortable with them.

I don't know anything about Creative Compositions, but I visited Mark Kauffman and saw 12th Night in action at my FSIL's wedding. I think Kauffman and 12th Night are very different. If I had to chose between the 2 of them, I would elect 12th Night based on price. I liked the work of Mark Kauffman, however the photographers I would have wanted were too pricey for me. I felt I was 'being forced' to use certain photographers at Kauffman's.
I think Dominic @ 12th Night provides a better price for the quality of service - I elected to go another route with another freelance photographer...

I met with Dom at 12th Night on Saturday and was so happy! Finally found a fabulous photographer in my price range where I can have 2 photographers that take beautiful pictures. I am not into posed shots so his style is exactly what I was looking for. I am going to sign the contract this week and make it official. So I say go with 12th Night. I have only heard great things about them from brides on here and also from friends who used them.

That is another thing about 12th Night I found so cool and different. Dom said he does not advertise. He said you can't do a search on a search engine and find his website. The only way you hear about them is through word of mouth which is so true. I have never seen an advertisement for him. He said this keeps costs down. I thought that was pretty cool.

I went with 12th NIght. We had our engagement shots last week and it only confirmed my choice.
1. Price- SO GOOD- what more can you say.
2. Dominic. He was so honest he sold me on the cheaper package. He is also such a good person- we just clicked. He is not corney or burnt out. We actually had fun at our engagement shots.
3. The work: - I loved the photos. They are all just so talented. Even though my FH and I hate ourselves in pictures, there were some in there we really liked.

I didn't use any of these, but I did like the work of both 12th night and Mark Kauffman, and spoke to both on the phone. 12th night was very easy to work with, sensible pricing and logical DIY-types of options. Mark Kauffman came across as extremely pushy, reluctant to give information/pricing, and on top of all that - expensive. Based on my experience and that of my sister-in-law who is currently planning her wedding, I would not go with Kauffman.

I saw 12th night and Mark Kauffman, and went with 12th night... MK really rubbed me the wrong way because the minute we asked for pricing, he told us we're obviously not 'fine art' people, and if that's how we are we should look somewhere else... but the second we got up to leave, he offered to show us pricing... he has different packages according to the different levels of photographers... we wanted to understand exactly what makes the difference between a $3k and $5k photographer so asked to see the pictures of both, but he refused...

As I read your posts, I will be very upset if I go to a vendor and the vendor will be reluctant to give prices. How are you supposed to find out if this is the right vendor for you? And also, I'd not book anyone without seeing their work first and you also have to kind of get along with this person. Photographers will be with you almost the whole day. And as far as the 'fine art' remark coming not only from him but from any vendor, I'd definitely know they are not the vendor for me. Because that's why the world is sooo different because everyone have different defintions, different perceptions of seeing and doing things and above all, everyone has the right to ask for what they are looking for. And if the vendor is not what you are looking for, then, it will be 'next'.....
