Re: help with ribbon wands..... put in vase or basket?

We recently went to a wedding where they had their ribbon wands laying long ways in a basket. They also had the ceremony programs laid out next to the basket. People grabbed them on the way in to the ceremony this way they had them to wave as the bride and groom made their way back down the aisle (it was an outdoor ceremony).

I think a vase is a nice option, too. Since it's in a church, I think it would be fine for people to grab them after the ceremony. Just my thoughts :)

I think putting them in a clear vase might be a nice visual. It might be easier for people to realize what they are that way, and if you put it next to the programs, they can just take both.

This is actually not a bad idea!!! I'm sure you can dazzle up the Styrofoam nicely, too!

Re: help with ribbon wands..... put in vase or basket?

I know this sounds strange, but I had mine in a nice clear wine bucket with metal handles. The opening nice and wide at the top so the wands were able to spread out with all the ribbon!!
To be honest the bucket was COVERED with long ribbons so it wasn't seen but it was nice.
I had totally forgotten to get a container for them and grabbed the bucket from my parents house last minute (and it went well with our vineyard reception later on!)

Our programs were in a basket with handle.

No one probably remembers to be honest except for me!! Don't waste money on that if you dont have to.

This is what a wedding wand looks like:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/95160846/wedding-wands-50-double-ribbon-wands?ref=sr_gallery_6&ga_search_query=wedding+wands&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all

Many brides use this instead of bubbles, rice or petals. HTH!!

i would say a vase.
what about a wine holder (gift type) - they are square or cylindrical and decorated already in so many different ways that could go with your theme.

it's like instead of bubbles or rice/ seed

i think you just shake them anywhere, up in the air.
