My wedding is 9/17/04 and My final headcount is due at the catering hall on 9/3/03.
When you I mail out my invites and what day should my RSVP be by?

I would make it 8/17 or if you want the extra time, make it 8/10. Usually it is 1 month before the wedding date.

sounds good to me.. you want to leave enough time for people who send it late and then for you to contact people whom you don't receive a response from

WHen should I send out the invites then?? is June 21 st too early? I want to make sure my invites go out before the shower invited which my mom is sending atthe end of July, I think that is the way to do it...............wedding, then shower invites.

I would mail out your invites the beginning of July and put an RSVP date of August 15. That way you have at least two weeks to track down those people who didn't rsvp.

I would make the rsvp date even earlier in August...my deadline was May 12 for my June 12 wedding and I'm still missing many responses. I'll need to call a bunch of people. You don't want to be stressed about this - especially since you'll need to figure out table arrangements, etc.

This is a really good question - I didn't htink of it, but wedding invites before shower invites? I am going to ask this in a separate post.

The lady doing my invites told me the RSVP Date should be 3 weeks before the wedding.. And the mailing date should be 4 weeks before that but since my wedding is right after the holidays 5 or 6 weeks might be better.
So for a Jan 8th Wedding
Mail out on 11/10 or 11/17 RSVP for 12/17 she said get on the phone on the 18th wish everyone a happy holiday and find out where the hell the rsvp's are if you don't have them yet.
