Help with venue, for a friend!

Help with venue, for a friend!

Hello ladies!!
My co-worker who's also a friend is planning to get married next May. She's having a hard time finding a venue that meets the following criteria:
120 guests
Saturday night wedding
less than $85++ (before taxes and gratuity)
She liked Leonard's but didn't like their customer service.
I offered to post here and ask if someone know any alternatives?? She likes the look and feel Leonard's gives (she likes opulent and a bit more modern over traditional)
She also wants to have a longer wedding instead of 5 she needs 6 hours.
she went to;
Fox Hollow
Westbury Manor
Crestwood Manor
I think their prices were a tad too high...
and many places in Queens. Her guests are coming from Queens and NJ so she wants to keep it in Nassau county.
I know the requirements are hefty, that's why I ran out of options for her...lol...

Terrace on the Park in Queens is probably around that price, I know she wants Nassau, but it's worth checking out.

I think she likes Queens too! She lives in Queens. She just didn't like the places she visited in Queens. I think she went to Astoria World Manor and I'm not sure what the other place was and she said they looked dated.
I know!

I went to a wedding at TOP in August and IMO, the food wasn't too great. But it's very pretty. Saturday night in what month?

I was looking for a Friday in May 2012 but the cheapest places I found were

Chateau La Mer in Linderhurst
The Riviera in Massapequa

She wants a Saturday night in May. I think she even knows she wants mid-May.

I'm pretty sure a sat in may for swan club is a bit more than 85, but day or friday night is definitely cheaper....

Try Larkfield Manor (although it is in suffolk)....Out of the places that I went to, they were the most reasonable, and have had phenominal customer service so far.

I would suggest Sans Souci of Sea Cliff, I believe their classic menu package is about that price for the time she is looking for. It overlooks the sound and has a nice outdoor area for ceremony or outdoor cocktail hour.
You can also check Stewart Manor CC, this is closer to Queens, and it is the same owners as Sans Souci.

Saturdays in May are more expensive anywhere she goes. Now if she does a Saturday Day Wedding, there might be a huge price difference. Im getting married on a Friday Night in May at JT and the price was like $20 more per person just to have it on a Saturday night over a friday night. I said Nope .. Friday it is.

North Ritz Club!! 100% ....1 wedding at a time... it might be 85$ pp exactly though but depending on what you get I am sure it can be lower...

I got a higher quote for the North Ritz Club for a November date and I think May is higher.. but I could be wrong.

I'd check out The Riviera in Massapequa. The room is oddly shaped, but it may work for 120 people. The price is good.

Crasher! The Riviera for a Saturday night in May is going to be closer to $100 pp++ according to my quotes from 2011....a Saturday day in May would probably be around there though. ETA and they do the 5 hour package, not 6, so adding on the extra hour will also cost $$

May on a sat under 85 might be a bit of a hunt. That is an expensive day/month. Is she willing to play with the date and time?

She could always luck out tho and get a hall cheaper if she fills a day in due to a cancellation or just not having that date booked yet. Halls usually start dropping there prices when they get worried that the date will not be booked

Cresthollow in May on a Saturday night in May is going to be more than $85pp. I agree that it is going to be tough to get something for $85 on a Saturday in May since that is one of the prime times. Maybe consider a Friday night.

Also remember that there is tax and tip on top of the per person price. So for example $65 pp is really alittle over $80!
