Hello ladies!! My co-worker who's also a friend is planning to get married next May. She's having a hard time finding a venue that meets the following criteria: 120 guests Saturday night wedding less than $85++ (before taxes and gratuity) She liked Leonard's but didn't like their customer service. I offered to post here and ask if someone know any alternatives?? She likes the look and feel Leonard's gives (she likes opulent and a bit more modern over traditional) She also wants to have a longer wedding instead of 5 she needs 6 hours. she went to; Fox Hollow Westbury Manor Crestwood Manor I think their prices were a tad too high... and many places in Queens. Her guests are coming from Queens and NJ so she wants to keep it in Nassau county. I know the requirements are hefty, that's why I ran out of options for her...lol...

Re: Help with venue, for a friend!
I absolutely agree with you ladies!!! I told her that! She's animate about it being a Saturday night in May and extended hours too 6 hours! So she might end up going with Leonard's because I think that's the only quote that was exactly $85 for a Saturday night in May. She got even lowers at some halls in Queens but she didn't like them at all. I know what you gals mean, I worked around with dates and days to make our budget fit the hall we wanted so I think in her case is the other way around. She'll choose the hall based on her budget and desire for the wedding to be on that particular month on that day. Thanks for the info.

North Ritz Club!! 100% ....1 wedding at a time... it might be 85$ pp exactly though but depending on what you get I am sure it can be lower...
I got a higher quote for the North Ritz Club for a November date and I think May is higher.. but I could be wrong.
I'd check out The Riviera in Massapequa. The room is oddly shaped, but it may work for 120 people. The price is good.
My sister booked NRC for a Friday night in May of 2012. She had to guarantee 165 guests, although the price was reasonable. I think a Saturday night wedding there in May will probably have a higher minimum. Sorry

I am booked with leonards and have had no problems with their customer service. My cousins wedding was at leonards last year and I just fell in love with the place and I liked the food. The big plus for me was there was carpet!!! She had no problems either. I guess it depends on who you BM is.

Who's your BM? Maybe she can request him/her. She said, they act very disinterested like, you need them and they don't need you or you're just one other customer. Very impersonal. But that's just from someone else's perspective so I don't know if there's any other underlining reasoning, etc..
