We also have clear glass shower doors (as opposed to the frosted ones which hide water spots better!). No matter how I clean them, squeege them and windex them, I can still see the water spots. I've tried everything!!

So I would also be interested to see of anyone has a solution to getting rid of them!

I had a shower door growing up and my mom would make us squeegie every time we took a shower...but they were frosted doors...so I guess, like Trish said, clear are different

I also have the clear shower doors and I swear by Tilex Fresh Shower. You spray it on after you shower and you don't wipe it down, just let it sit. It really does keep most of the spots away. Then I wipe them down with Windex no more than once every two weeks and they look great with minimal elbow grease.

We squeege after every shower and once a week I spray the doors with a mixture of water and vinegar, let it sit for 5 mins and rinse, they come sparkly

We have one but it isn't up yet, but I did here that vinegar and water works and all so that shower spray that you spray after you take a shower.

What's the 'recipe' for the water and vinegar? Half and half?

I'm going to try that. I can't stand these SPOTS!!!

windex like three times in a row
its a pain but thats what I do
do it once then twice, usually two is enough but if its really bad you have to do it a third time-- also use a daily shower clean spray - it helps

We have clear shower doors too, and we had to use a brillo pad and water to get all the soap and spots off from the people who lived there before us!

Now that they are sparkly clean, we squeegee after every shower, and once a month or so I used Scrubbing bubbles on the doors, and they come out beautifully!

I've tried Fantastik, Windex, Spic and Span, AND Brillo. Nothing works. I think the doors were neglected for a while, so I might have to try the vinegar and see what happens. Maybe I should just use the vingar straight up! lol.

Karen it sounds like they are hard water spots, which generally come from either calcium or lime in the water. Once they are on for a while they are nearly impossible to get off. Trust me..I have about $100 worth of useless stuff that I bought to try and get the spots off the shower doors in our two bathrooms.

My solution? We got rid of the doors! I have shower curtains again and I love them. They don't get all gaacky, and you can easily change them if you redecorate your bathroom. If you need a new liner it's less than $10.00. Cleaning the bathtub is way easier and the room looks better.

I wish you luck with getting the spots off and if you find a magic solution share!!

Get Lime away in the green bottle it's good stuff. I have a well with lots of iron and hard water it does the trick.. also you can get a whole hose water filter.. it the doors look yuck you are drinking that

I don't know what the solution is because we actually don't have water spots. When we installed the doors, the woman who was from the showroom suggested that we treat the doors with Rainex to keep the water from sticking, so we've been doing that once a month in addition to the squeegie after each shower.

Might be something to consider after you get the spots out.

Try Glass Wax. It's sold in hardware stores.
