I would start scoping out photographers and a band if you are having one.

I would start looking into photo and then wait.

If you book other things too early, you don't have as much negotiating power.

You're so cute! Your excitement is contagious.

Check out projectwedding.com and the knot.com. You can start to get a feel as to what you like, what colors you're drawn to ect.

Also, you can search the most popular photographers on this site (do a search for 'recommend your photographer' or something like that) and start looking at websites to get a feel for what you like as well. Congratulations!!!

YOU'RE A FOX HOLLOW BRIDE!!!!
Yaaay

Did you get an invitation to the next 'Tea Party'? It's held at the Fox Hollow and it's basically an information session with a great wedding planner...timelines, recommendations, budget suggestions ect. It's fun, and you'll learn lots!

Call and ask when the next one is and tell them to register you. That will help you with your planning. Don't feel pressured to book anything with them yet....you're still early on

Re: Help with what to do next....

You DEFINATELY are still very early on. My wedding is like 8 months before yours and I haven't had a single problem booking anyone or anything! I like being ahead of the game though. You have more than enough time so you don't even have to go in order. I did my church and RH first, then booked the florist, then Photographer and Videographer, then most recently (like last week) I booked the DJ. If you were closer to the day I would def say do it the complete opposite way. Now I am working on dresses and transportation. After that it's all the little stuff and all the fun DIY projects.
I remember going to see Fox Hollow. It was a very nice place and I LOVED they had a hotel right there! Good Luck and Happy Planning! :)

2010....you have more than enough time. Enjoy the engagement bliss. I am getting married next year August and I just started about 2 months ago to plan. Things haven't gone so smooth but you have to say to yourself that it will all work out in the end. I am going to enjoy every minute of my so called planning.

-Many Blessings!

wow! thank you guys sooo much! now i dont feel so pressured that i have to do everything so soon! i can actually wait and enjoy the engagement lol!

i did get an invitation for the tea party - its on jan 7... have you gone to it already? what do they actually do? just talk about there recommended vendors? do a lot of brides go?

ive heard that the vendors that fox hollow recommend are very pricy... do u know if thats true?

DEFINITELY TRUE! I didn't book any of their recommended vendors. Don't allow yourself to be pressured.

The tea party is actually a real tea party, with cookies, pastries ect. You bring a female with you. I went with my Mom, we had fun and it was nice for her to see the Fox Hollow.

It's fun, you'll enjoy it because you'll learn lots. Take it as that- an opportunity to learn. You have lots of time ... definitely ENJOY your engagement

I'd say photographer next definitely. Then you can relax a little and shop around for a florist and DJ.
