I went to Macy's @ Smithhaven Mall to look for dresses a few weeks ago. Tried on several and knew I had found 'the one'. I jotted down the designer and style num and went to Netbride.com to see if I could get it cheaper. Well, it was about $600 bucks cheaper. I had an appt. at Macy's the next weekend to try on the dress once more. I made them aware of the price I found on Netbride.com and after some discussion, they not only MATCHED Netbride.com's price, but the no sales-tax policy of Netbride.com as well. I also brought in the e-mailed price quote that I received from Netbride.com as proof. Needless to say, I saved well over $700 and ended up ordering my dress through Macy's, which was a relief since I was nervous about ordering a gown through the net. The only thing is that since you have to pay for your dress in full on Netbride.com, Macy's wants you to do the same thing (usually, they require 1/2 deposit and 1/2 when dress arrives), but I was fine with that seeing as I saved SOOO much.
