Help...Looking for Justice of Peace, Mayor, oh dear..

We're looking for an officiant who's not a member of the Clergy. Someone who's a judge or a Mayor or whomever else can marry us in a civil union who ISNT ordained minister.

DF was raised in a conservative Jewish Household, I was raised in a religious protestant household. Both of us are in our 30s and have been non practicing since we left home over a decade ago.

But...we're in a tricky spot. Reformed Jewish Rabbis will officiate with Ministers, but Conservative Rabbi's generally don't. So the dual option is out.

I've heard from several officiants who are Ordained Ministsers and perform Interfaith or civil union ceremonies, however, I don't want to offend DF's family by using anyone who has a Rev. title. They've gotten over the fact that I'm not Jewish and welcome me now with open arms, I want to honor them by NOT having their son married by a Reverend.
