anyone know of someone we can hire to set up the food and help with basic cleaning and organizing? Please let me know if you can think of anyone who does side jobs like this.

your best bet is college or high school students. Any friends of the family? Younger siblings with friends? People of that age can usually use the extra cash, and they come cheap.

I did that myself a few times... as did my friends. Maybe go to a local college and put up an add on their message board - a lot of school have ad boards in the student center, dining hall, mailroom, etc.

that's what I'd try, anyway, if you can't find anybody you know personally.
