help,,,new car inspections?

I just realized today that my car's inspection sticker expired at the end of december.

I thought new cars inspections were good for 2 years? But am I wrong?

Anyone know?

You have to do it every year, but it's cheap the first year if you're under a certain mileage. The inspection for a new car is not as thorough as it is with an older car.

BTW, thanks for reminding me, mine is up this week and I totally forgot!

Just wanted to add, the registration is good for 2 years, maybe that's what you're thinking of.

These vehicles are exempt from the gas-powered vehicle emissions inspection:

***Vehicles less than two model years old, or more than 25 model years (for example, a 1975 model in 2001) ***
Diesel-powered vehicles
Electric vehicles
Motorcycles
Vehicles registered as farm equipment or with historical plates

So wher do I go for a safety inspection? Do car dealers do it? (I am brining my car in for sevice friday)

Never mind....called jeep and they will take care of it.

lots of places to inspections.. around $35 bucks. Most oil changes places and some gas stations that have garages.. they have signs that say 'state Inspections done here'.

No biggie.

Every year for inspections though.

Registration is always good for 2 years. No matter how old or new the car is.
