Ok please be nice I know this can get kind of heated..I have 2 who will be in the wedding..but because we are on a budget we decided no other children other than mine. We haven't told anyone but my mom and his mom,and they both agree..but A LOT of my family is children, and his cousin has 4 kids. Im worried about how to handle this. were having the wedding on a Sunday, and my children will be leaving around 7-8pm to go to there father's house. How did any of you handle this? or would you handle this?
Thanks :)

Hosetly I think what you wanted to do is fine it is your day and I truly feel your child should be there with you.

theyre YOUR kids!!! nobody should expect that there's are invited just because yours are...its YOUR wedding!! it's not like you're inviting some people's kids but not others...its just yours!! the last wedding i was at, the only child there was the bride and groom's child who left early in the night and everyone thought it was sweet that she was there.
Agreed!! They are YOUR children, not just guests... they absolutely should be there.
totally agree with all the above... its your wedding, you get to call the shots! dont stress!

I think it is ABSOLUTELY fine to CHOOSE which children, if any, are invited to your wedding. It is your day, and who cares what anyone else thinks?
I am inviting only two children as well- the flowergirl and ring bearer. We willbe putting Adult Reception on the invitation as well.
Good Luck!

Re: HELP...No kids at wedding..
The only children I had there was my FG and my little 3 yr old brother. Besides that anyone who RSVP with a child was called and told that it was an adult only ceremony and reception. They are your children not guests...and it is your wedding not theirs!

Re: HELP...No kids at wedding..
we are putting adult reception on the invite! The only children in attendance are the kids in the bridal party and FH nephews/ niece. It's up to you and it's your wedding so you do what you want!

Its not like im only letting a few people bring kids..its just my 2 children
I think it is perfectly fine to have your own children at your wedding but nobody elses. I would write Adult Reception on your RSVP so that it is clear!
This!

Re: HELP...No kids at wedding..
First off they are your kids and you are the bride so what you say goes. Lots of brides have just kids in the bridal party attend the wedding. Do what you have to do and don't worry about making anyone else happy but you and FH.
