helpppp.... am i wrong??

So here's my issue....

Im really close still with my ex bf's mom because i met her when i was 14!! (she was my boss, thats how i met my ex, soap opera i know) Anyway, i knew her 2 years before my and my ex started dating and worked with her for 6 yearsss! shes like my third mom now, and i still meet up with her and catch up on everything....

i want to invite her and her boyfriend to the wedding, but FH is a little weirded out by this, am i not seeing something??? (me and my ex broke up 4 years ago)

Ehh... I don't see anything wrong with it because it's not like your ex, himself, is coming, and she isn't going to do anything to interfere. I could definitely see him having a problem with the ex. If she's supportive of you and your happiness and will be happy to see you marry someone other than her son, I think it's okay. Just make sure she really does feel that way, otherwise it may be weird for her.

yeah i agree with the other girls...i dont think there is anything wrong with her coming since you clearly have a relationship with her, and the relationship started before you even dated her son.

its okay if he doesnt get it, as long as he doesnt complain or say anything. he doesnt know her or your relationship with her, so he probably only sees it as ex's mom. and he probably doesnt hang out with any of his ex's moms.

i dont see it as a big deal at all. i def think you should invite her. once FH meets her maybe he will actually start to understand the relationship a little more.

i still talk to one of my old bosses from work study at college and i plan to invite her. FH didnt like the lady in college (same school), so he thinks the fact i even talk to her is weird...and that doesnt even include ex drama. LOL

guys.....

I don't think you are wrong at all. You knew his mom before you knew him and were friends regardless. As long as the ex doesn't show up then in my book you are fine.

With anything like this I always pose the question back to you that if the situation were the other way around what would you think??? If you have any reservations about it that way, then you shouldnt put your FH in the situation...

I think anything that involves an ex is always something that hits a nerve with people. If your FH feels strongly about it, I don't think I would, but if he can get over it, then why not.

I think as long as your not inviting you ex it shouldn't be a big deal

I can see how FH might be hesitant about the situation. I would probably be the same way, but as long as you discuss it and he agrees it should be fine.

I'm actually inviting my ex's parents to the wedding. I've known them forever and my mom and his mom are really good friends. My FH has no problem with it because I don't keep in touch with my ex and he lives far away now.
