Hi! I am trying to make the cover to my program on vellum paper - but when I print it in my inkjet printer - it comes out blobby. Is there a setting I am missing that maybe would make things a little neater?
Thanks!

Re: Help!Printing on Vellum Paper
I'm not sure, but I think you may need to use a laser printer.

Re: Help!Printing on Vellum Paper
Go to paperandmore.com and you can find printable Vellum. They sell 100 sheets for $14.99 and they custom cut it for $5. They also give you tips for printing on the Vellum (something with the printer settings) Good luck.

Re: Help!Printing on Vellum Paper
There is specific vellum paper that you can use on ink printers. Also try changing the setting of the ink. Instead of using a 'bold' print, some printers will give your the option of using 'economy' on ink so it doesnt use so much, thus avoiding the smearing. Hope this helps!!

Re: Help!Printing on Vellum Paper
I printed on vellum for my menus on my ink jet printer and I could not use a bold print to print them.

You can print bold on vellum with an inkjet. When you go to Print, you will have the option to click on 'properties'
Under properties you have options for print quality. Instead of Normal, Best or Maximum DPI I used fast/normal and also have the option for fast/draft.

This is what I was going to say. I bought my Vellum paper at Staples that was esp. for inkjet printers. I also didn't use bold. They came out great.

Re: Help!Printing on Vellum Paper
Another helpful setting would be to change the paper type under the print setting. Some options could be coated paper, photo paper etc. You may want to try to use one of these. The reason you are getting smudges is becuase regular ink setting normally permit for the ink to 'soak' into regular paper. With the vellum or other similar paper, the fact that they are non-porous prevents this. You will need to use a setting that uses less ink. The print quality suggesstions were also good ones.
