My single mom and MOD and BMs are not the wealthiest bunch and I have heard some distressing things from MOH as of late that there is alot of fighting going on about who pays for what etc. Just wanted to see if you know what your girls are doing...

My parents and my sisters and the BP will pitch in with the little things. My FMIL is really great so I know she will offer to pay for things.

Oh my goodness, I am going through the exact same thing right now! I feel your pain and seriously, I said the exact same thing today about writing a check myself and just being done with it! I don't really have any advice for you since I have no idea how to handle this situation with me either but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I'm pulling my hair out right along with you.

i really cant help you year. my bridal party has done nothign but fight over this from what i hear. so much for having it a surprize becasue as each of the complain i get another clue. but all in all i think my mom is scrapping pennies to pull it off. i offered to pay but she wont allow it.

I honestly have no idea. Since my parents aren't alive, you would think FH's mom would ask to do something, but she is clueless. She basically lives in Mars and is out of the loop w/everything. $$ is very tight for my MOH and she just lost her Mom, so now she has alot going on. My two cousins who are in the wedding party are both in college and work part time. If I don't have a bridal shower it really won't be a big deal. I don't want to cause financial hardship on anyone.

I have no clue ~ MOH & BM's but I am hoping my mom & FMIL will help out! (My FMIL has hinted she wants to be involved with everything.... and she has asked me for a list etc) whatever is decided I am sure it will be beautiful ~ I just hope it is not in a place (restaurant or hall) I hate being rushed (+ can get very expensive) I would rather it be at someone's house where we can chat & have fun and not be rushed...get a chance to spend time with everyone!

I'm pretty sure my MOH (sister) is having it at my parents house (I insisted to save money since she's in grad school)
My sister said she is going to ask for a flat rate to cover some of the food and decorations plus to chip in on a joint gift from all the bridesmaids. To save money, she suggested each BM bring a dish or something like that to contribute as well.
My parents will end up helping as well.

Thanks so much. It does help knowing I am not alone.....I hate this stuff :) - I feel weird as it is picking out items for ourselves let alone having other people plan and pay for a party for us - That my own hang up. I love doing it for other people but not liking this too much. Thanks for the support though.

My mom is paying for mine. My mom is actually paying for most of the wedding also. She's been awesome. My BP may help with decorations or prizes for games (but that's doubtful).
