Here is my impression of my mom. . .

NOT complaining about my choice of wedding color (Navy or French Blue)

'OMG, look how nice that LIGHT color looks for the BP'

'WOW, light colors look so nice for weddings'

Out of nowhere:
'Look at this picture, I bet that girl was wearing Navy blue but it came out black in the pictures. You know, sometimes dark colors don't photograph well'

'Wow, look at that pastel color on that girl - you know light colors flatter everyone'

'Look at this wedding, she got married near Christmas - look at how the red really stands out against her white dress'

'I hope the navy blue you find is on the lighter side of navy blue'

WHAT PART OF NAVY EFFIN BLUE DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WOMAN!

Thanks for listening - sorry for the vent but this woman is driving me batty.

wow, she's subtle. my momzilla just comes right out and tells me, 'I hate the bridesmaid dresses, they don't look bridesmaid-y enough.' (Yeah, hi 4 girls wearing matching pink dresses in October holding matching bouquets of white flowers, not nearly 'bridesmaid-y' enough!)

You should say...

'Ya know Mom... you are right, the bridal party might contrast a bit too much with me in white... so I asked the bridal shop to dye my gown black.'

I really got a kick out of that...do it again..only use veil in place of color (since I didn't wear one and got a lot of flack for it)!!!! PLEEAASSEE!!!!!


People told me that red was all wrong for summer...I didn't listen and you know what? It looked amazing!

Ignore it and stick to what you have chosen...I think Navy Effin Blue will look Effin Amazing!!!!!!!!!

I can totally sympathize with you. Last weekend at my engagement party, my mother, who had a few too many mojitos, told my bridal party that my sole intention is to make my bp look like a bunch of big fat tootsie rolls and wanna-be Scarlet O'Hara's. Mothers!!!! And I'm just going to amend that to say Menopausal Mothers!!!!
